Regarding the cycle computer. On the Sunday ride I mentioned, it rained a bit causing my computer to malfunction, but this also created a new Max Speed
I had to take a photo.

A few thing's I have learned..
When they say "pass on left" I simply say, Have a great ride. Since chances are I will not see that person again.
A question for you is, what do you do to practice keeping a line? I know hills suck, they really suck my avg down.
Different rides offer different stuff. Learn to be prepared with a cooler stocked with fruit, water, and other stuff.
The most important thing I have learned is that when I am getting tried to ignore stuff. People will say alot of nice things, like keep it up, your doing great, this is usually on hills where I am really slow. I do smile when they look at me wierd since I can usally talk while going up hill: )
Next just remember why your there. I tell my self I came to work out, not wimp out, it gets me through the pain.
Have fun
