O/T: Atlanta Area Clydes and Athenas

I'll be visiting your fine city from Sunday December 5th through the 8th and will be taking up residence in a hotel near the Perimeter Mall (I believe it's near Dunwoody). My obligations in your town will occupy me from 9am to 5pm, but after that I have literally nothing to do. At all. Is there anything interesting to see and do nearby? I've researched the Comet trail but by time I get there it will be getting dark and the cost of renting a bicycle near the trail head is silly. I'm open to suggestions: historical things, restaurants, curiosities etc.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Hmmmm.... Will you have a car? Would you be willing to drive into town (15 minutes or so)?

I'll have a rental vehicle for the duration of my trip so that shouldn't be a problem.

You'll be staying really close to McKendrick's - the best steakhouse in Atlanta. - https://www.mckendricks.com/

Food:
The best burger in town can be found at the Vortex, but you'll have to drive into town for that. - https://www.thevortexbarandgrill.com/

Activities:
I'd highly recommend the Georgia Aquarium, but it looks like they close at 5:00. That sucks. - https://www.georgiaaquarium.org/

The Thrashers are playing at home on Monday. - https://thrashers.nhl.com/

If you like go karts, this place is pretty cool. - https://www.andrettikarting.com/

If you like video games, you'll want to go here. - https://www.daveandbusters.com/

I'm married with 2 kids, so I don't have much of a social life on school nights. Let me noodle on it for a bit and see if I can find some more things for you to do.

Apparently so, and 30 degrees isn't cold

Thanks for your suggestions, I'm going to head for the Vortex tonight. The steak house looked nice too but was way to rich for my blood.

I take it you are passing on the chess at the House of Pain. :-)
