Oops...It was a rough week for the weigh loss, and all my own (un)doing. Saturday was filled with an artists' studios open house at the old Stutz factory here in town, and everyone had munchies out for the taking. We followed that with an early anniversary dinner at a very nice Italian restaurant in the Mass Ave gallery district (we had a Groupon we needed to use before it expired). Monday evening was our Indianapolis Symphony First Monday Music Club meeting, which has lots of cheese and desserts. Consequently, by Tuesday I had already dug myself a pretty darned big hole. I was lucky to have emerged with only a one-pound gain.

I'm finding myself with a newly tough attitude when I'm the one that has to go in search of the food. But when it's placed in front of me, with no limit (and especially when it's free), I just can't seem to keep from stuffing my pie-hole. It's like deep in my brain stem I just know there won't be any more free food ever again after that, so I'd better "stock up." I did the same thing this last Saturday at a friend's birthday/Derby Day party. We'll see if hard work and tough determination the rest of this week can cancel that day's folly.

I'll join in. My all time high was 158 at the end of last year. Today I am 135. Last week I was 136.5. I want to be 134 next week. I ate a banana and walnuts for breakfast. I'm off to a good start. My goal calories is 1100 per day, with increases to 1250 if I am doing a bunch of exercise. (No, not too low, I am a small person).

Welcome to the fray, goldfinch. You're now on the list. I see at the moment we share a common BMI.

05/09 = 221.5 lbs To quote Rodney Dangerfield, "I'm all right now, but last week I was in rough shape." Last week started out with general lethargy - lingering effects from the prior months worth of travel. As my energy returned, I picked up a touch of bronchitis which pretty much scotched any running or riding. Then went home (to Fresno) for Mother's Day and effectively lost control (in the old days, I used to anesthetize myself with booze, but now being teetotal, I went for food...but at least I'm still on the wagon!). I was able to get a couple of short rides in with my brother and sister-in-law, but nothing of substance, compared to what I usually do. Now, I'm back at home, feeling better and slogging through work.

03/02/2011 = 430.0 Bought a scale and weighed myself for the first time in over 6 years.
03/14/2011 = 424.6
03/21/2011 = 420.6
04/04/2011 = 417.2
04/11/2011 = 416.4
04/18/2011 = 410.6
04/25/2011 = 410.8
05/02/2011 = 406.4
05/09/2011 = 403.2

Getting closer to breaking through that 400lb barrier. Even though I didn't get below 400 this week I'm still progressing well soon 400lbs will just be a memory.

05/02/2011 = 245
05/09/2011 = 238

I forgot to time when I weighed myself last week, but I wrote it down for next week. It kind of seems like a lot of weight to lose in one week, but I guess some of it could be water weight. Who knows... the only thing I'm worried about is losing too much muscle. I'd hate to get down to my target weight with loose skin, heh.

07/01/2009 = 345 lbs!
03/02 = 281.0 lbs
03/06 = 273.4 lbs
03/13 = 272.4 lbs
03/20 = 267.0 lbs
03/27 = 264.6 lbs
04/03 = 262.8 lbs
04/10 = 257.8 lbs
04/18 = 257.8 lbs
04/25 = 258.4 lbs
05/02 = 256.6 lbs
05/09 = 255.2 lbs

I thought this week would be a disaster, I didn't getting any time in the saddle and ate out WAY to much! I was going to avoid this thread like the plaque this week but I jumped on the scale last night just to give myself a little motivation to start focusing again. I was very surprised with what popped up!

I had an excuse for being completely lax though and here she is!

Thanks Jeneralist, she is pretty beautiful! She came out at a healthy 8lbs 3oz at 8:03 last Wednesday. She's our 3rd and final kiddo. We finished it out perfect too, she has 2 older brothers to take care of her for me!
