Stiff neck - to ride or not to ride?
I'm pretty sure it's stress related, and starts down by the clavicle and runs straight up to base of my skull. Once I get moving, I do have about 60% rotation each way. I only have one very short street stretch, but it is busy.
I want to ride to get rid of the stress while I do the treatment and SMR to get these knots out. So, what do you think? Ride, or no?

Well, does riding make it worse? Better?

Ride! My back was stiff a couple weeks back. I must have moved wrong after a weight workout. I had Gina try to pop my spine but she wasn't very successful other than leaving a rugburn on my back. I have had this happen maybe 10 times over 15 years of riding. Each time it does, I can't wait to ride knowing I will feel better. I feel better on the ride and ususally the condition is gone by the end of the night.
On this ride, I had maybe 30% rotation of the back. By the end of the ride, I was feeling better and fine at the end of the night.
30% of back/neck rotation, can't tell in the video can ya?

I've ridden with a stiff neck. Since it hurts to turn my head around to look behind me, I'm thankful for my handlebar-mounted mirrors. But I still have to check my blind spot before turning, just like I do while driving, so I have to HTFU then.

Its completely muscular, and I have been working with the SMR ball and isolated the offending muscle. Feeling much better, seems to have quieting the muscular "lock-down". It's a tension thing I get from time to time, and today was D-Day on a vital work project. I think I'll be fine in the AM, and if I can get out early I might go this afternoon.
