goal of 20k shouldn't be a problem this month. Maybe I should bump it to 25k

Finished up an item on my to do list ... paint the porch ... on Saturday morning and then went out for some solo vertical therapy in the afternoon. 46 miles and 4,200 ft of climbing in the heat of the day.

Monthly total is looking good. 1,008 miles and 39,182 ft so far.

Rode TO the inlaws on Saturday (52.7 / 895 ft) and rode home from the inlaws yesterday (47.8 / 1,372 ft)

MTD: 400.3 miles, 15,469 feet.

I wonder if I can squeeze in 4,500 more feet by Friday, hm.

Hit my goal today.

MTD 452.59 miles 27,223ft climbing.

I may be able to get to 30,000ft before the end of the month, a first for me

4 rides this week with 4,131" of climbing.

MTD = 14,763' (98% of 15,000' goal)

Should be able to get there on my next ride.

Finished out August with 50,193' of climbing and 1,264 miles for the month.

Much of this is just commuting back and forth to work. The miles and climbing add up very quickly.

Rounded out the month with 14,356' of climbing. Abysmal mileage total at only 182.4 miles, but I've been concentrating more on intensity than distance in prep for racing season starting up on Monday, and spending lots of hours training at a new job instead of training on the bike. It's a tough trade-off to make, but it will be worth it in the long run.

So after my accident I was finally able to get back on the bike on the 15th. I stayed with the flat club rides because I don't have a chance in hell of keeping up with the hill riders. On average they're about 50-100% faster than me so I get dropped in the first tenth of a mile. That being said I still managed 5738 feet for half a month. Not bad.

So I didn't really make it, but it's a great effort for half a month.

Plus I hit my first 15.0 monthly average speed ever. Previous best was 13.2mph over 500 miles with 8k of elevation. I'm getting there.

Congrats on that average speed. I have never averaged 15 for a month. I can average that on rides with few hills but never over a month. Well done.
