I'm proud of this one, 4000' of climbing and 17.5 MPH average.
I've got to work on miles 70 through 80. I wanted to ride my bike off a steep cliff just to end the suffering. After mile 80 it was all good again and finished strong.

Great job! There is something that happens about the 80 mile mark that makes everything better. For me it was the thought that I only had 20 miles until I could get off the bike and into a hot shower.

I ride in km's and yes 130-140 can be a struggle, after awhile though it changes. I do some long distance stuff and the 250k mark is a bad area for me but by 280 all is good in the world. We all have that spot.

Yes, we do, Volo is a vet, always on here giving good advice. Are you a vet as well, Trojan?

I figure if you have to be in the navy, you might as well do it in San Diego. it just doesn't get any better than that.
