What should I expect on my first ride after SLAP repair surgery?

So I was all gung-ho last year and managed a measely 1009 miles between April-Sep. I had to stop riding after an old shoulder injury started to reappear. I tore my labrum in 08' lifting weights. I had SLAP tear surgery and biceps tenodesis in December to repair my right arm. I got the okay to road bike again last week, but have been timid about hoping back on a going for a ride. Besides that, it has been cold here. What should I expect on my first ride out? I've been riding a stationary bike at the local ymca to retain some leg strength.

And this is my first post since September... looking forward to the clyde/athena challenges this year on endomundo and strava. what are those links again? lol

I had SLAP surgery in 2008. The biggest thing I had to do is watch form, it is significantly more important to not lock the elbows as if you do and you hit a bump wrong, you will feel it for days

How did you feel in the drops? I've been riding a staionary at the gym, but it is nothing like the real thing. How did positions feel? Was one more comfortable than the other?
