A wee bit tight around the upper arms. My own fault. When the time changed, it turned cold at the same time and I haven't been getting any miles in. My weight is up a bit. This is a typical self-portrait in a mirror.
For those who are considering an order in the future, this jersey is size L. I am 6'3" and this morning the scale read 223 lbs. It's a bit tight, especially around the arm pits. I expect that when on a bike, it won't feel so tight. When Spring rolls around and I'm back down to 205 or so it will fit just about right. It is not zipped all the way up because I don't like clothing against the front part of my neck. It would zip up now, but that's not how I wear my jerseys/shirts.

Looking good everyone!
Colour came up well. Crisp.
Thinking I might have made the logos on the sleeves a whisker too large though!

Volo, you just validated my decision to get an xl. I am a couple inches taller and about the same weight, so I am glad I stuck with xl...I almost went 2xl, but didnt at the last second.

My 2xl fits about exactly on me like volos does on him and it might be snugger than i recall the fit kit being for the same exact reason. I'm 6'2" and about 220 right now. Ahem.

ok...both of you cant be the same height, same weight and have a 2xl and a large fit the same can you?
I guess when I get back next friday, and try mine on, I can see what happens. TJ stop scarring me...I just bought a pair of bib long tights and I SHOULD be perfect in the middle of the size range on the website, but when they got here, well lets just say there was no way I was going out of the bedroom wearing them.
darn stupid measurements on a website

It could be a difference how we carry our body weight. I have a Plus 50 jersey that is also size L, (same manufacturer). It fits nicely on me. Pictures have been posted in the Plus 50 sub-forum, part of the GMR July 4th ride. For my two Hincapie jerseys, one is L, the ohter XL. They seem to fit the same. My Garneau jerseys are all LX; and the Castelli and Capo, XXL. I have fairly wide shoulders and any extra weight I carry over 195-200 pounds, (probably my ideal weight), is in the belly. You will never see a side-profile picture of me. Then, there is how one likes to wear a jersey. I tend to like tighter ones more than loose, floppy ones. These things are streachy enough that I was able to get it zipped up around me 'fatness'. There just is no standard sizing with these things. Thankfully, except for these special order things, most vendors will accept returns/exchanges.

For future reference, please post as much detail as you are comfortable with that would help future members choose a size.
For me, I'm 6'2", probably 238 (my scale says 232, but I know it lies!). Most of my extra weight is in my belly. I ordered an XL and it is A LITTLE snug. I figure it will be just about right in about 5 lbs.

I'm about 5' 6" (the doc office says so) ... And currently at 221 lbs. I have broad shoulders for a woman and am busty as can be seen in pics I've posted. Carry my weight in my middle area. Built like a barrel.

That doesn't look too bad. I understand tho as I have a race fit jersey from an event that I'm not yet comfortable wearing.

I wonder if mine is marked wrong? A little snug is not how I would describe it, it's definitely snug. Not uncomfortably, unwearably snug though. I'll wear it in the morning and take a pic after I get it all sweaty. The test jersey I tried on was tighter in the shoulders than this one, and looser in the belly. I prefer the overall consistency of snugness in the one I got, so that's all good.

I don't like mine snug at all and from the pics I've seen so far, they look a little too snug for my taste, hope mine is better.
I know some people like them snug for aero purposes, if so, my comment is just my opinion and taste.

That was me but I don't blame you, nobody else listens to me......... I tried them on and I went with the 4X as I usually go with a 2X and Gina went with a 3X whereas she usually fits into a men's large or XL.

I'm not for super tight either...the XXL mens fits me decently and not super tight based on how it felt and the pics of me in it. I am happy with it.
My club jersey should be ready soon and am curious how it will fit based on how the fit kit jersey's may have not been as accurately representative of the actual jersey's the case of the Clyde/Athena jersey...probably from being tried on so much...maybe they stretched out or something from use....and thus sizing is a tad off?

OK, we all knew this was somewhat of a crap-shoot, especially because the custom nature of all of this makes them "un-returnable". However, there is a "Round 2" thread going and I would suggest, if you're not happy with the size you ordered, you post in there that you have a round 1 jersey that is too small for you, post the size and your pertinent size/weight info and see if anyone wants to buy it. You can always get into round 2 order with the appropriate size.

Now I know tho that fit kits can be a bit "off" and to factor that into my choice when choosing jersey. My Bikes For Boobs kit was also custom and unreturnable if it didn't fit. I guessed based on measuring my current jersey's and such and chose my sizing based off their chart online. I ended up getting 3x in both bibs and jersey (women's). I could have gone smaller in bibs I think and maybe larger in jersey but I am happy with the fit in that considering.
And I just want to say it: THANK YOU PJ as you stepped up and made this happen along with JonnyHK helping with design etc.

Hope I didn't come off upset about the size, I fully understood it would be a 'crap shoot'
although I may order a larger one in round two that I can wear now... then I'll donate it whenever I can comfortably fit into this one.
and thank you again, I know being the 'person' can be a PITA sometimes. Appreciate you doing the logistics for us

and aero?!? oh how I'm already starting to love that term with the LBS. It's especially fun when they can save me 1.08lbs if I upgrade to the $50 bottle cage instead of the $15 one.

That's not the "exact" term the doctor used, but pretty close!
Nobody has come across as upset. Some have commented that they'll have to lose the "winter coat" to have it fit comfortably....which I think I may be one of them! I just wanted to throw that idea out there in case it helps anyone.

Alright, upon further review, 2XL is perfect for me. My "normal" jersey size is 2XL (we're not talking race fit or scrawny euro fit so this works well, IMO. Here's an action shot before I hit the road for a ride today. I apologize for the surly appearance of the model. I mentioned above but for completeness, I'm shrinking down from a previous high of 6'2" and I was 219 this morning. I tend to waver between XL and 2XL t-shirts.
I like it! Thanks PhotoJoe, you're not as bad as everybody makes you out to be.
