KHS Urban Uno or Bianchi San Jose
What are peoples opinion about the KHS urban uno or the Bianchi san jose. I can get both of these bikes for the same price. Which would you choose?
I intend to use one of the bikes as a commuter, recreational bike, and for city travel. I am having a tough time choosing between the two and don't know if that is just because of the Bianchi name. I appreciate any and all help.
Links for these two bikes are listed below.

Bianchi of course! =)
In all seriousness I like the canti brakes on the Bianchi which easily wins me over to that bike. You are basically getting a singlespeed Cross bike which seems to be great for what you want to be doing. You can probably fit wider tires on this bike if you want which is a nice feature. If the Bianchi is $470 thats just a few bucks more than the Bikesdirect singlespeed Cross bike (link below). If you can't decide I would pick the Bianchi unless you are worried about it getting stolen.

I have the San Jose. You can get 38mm tires on them. I love the bike and have ridden the heck out of it.
If you are not looking to change anything out on the bike you pick, you should decide if you want the San Jose drops or the horns on the KHS.

I also ride a San Jose and would recommend it to anyone looking for a single speed commuter. The KHS, with the gold chainring, heavily sloped top tube, and straight blade fork, just looks cheesy to me. The Bianchi isn't the prettiest thing in the world, but I don't feel like I'm riding "My First Fixie."
On the other hand, they're both practical and useful bikes with pretty comparable components. Either one would do fine as a commuter, and your aesthetics probably are not my aesthetics. If you can test them let that decide you; otherwise go with whichever you think looks better, or has the handlebars you prefer. The San Jose probably can fit wider tires, if that's a concern for you.

Test ride both if you can and then decide.
If you can't i also vote for the Bianchi for no other reason than I like a lot of their bikes.

I think he was referring to the fact that the San Jose has been discontinued. Actually, both bikes the OP is interested in are no longer in production...
