Beautiful blue sky, cool (57F), dry (47%RH), and a light breeze (7mph). Couldn't have been better. Took the long way in and wish I could have kept going.

0430 ... 4 miles

Dark, yet warm ... only traffic was the guy delivering newspapers.

Great, other than being ~90 min late for work in a week where I owe 4 more hours beyond schedule (if I am to take Friday off). 50F and sunny, very breezy (bodes ill for headwind on way home)

Nice. It was 36 degrees but pretty clear, and it's light now at 5:00 when I leave. I slowed down at several points up on the ridge to enjoy the scenery. I got passed by one van in my 9 mile commute.

It may sound like I'm bragging about my speed or something, when I mention how few people pass me in the morning. That's not it. I'm bragging about how little traffic I have to deal with.

I saved a rubber boa snake on the way home. He was sunning himself in the gravel road. I went by first, around him, then realized that the next car would squish him. So I turned around, picked him up, and set him off to the side of the road. They are also called two-headed snakes, as they have very blunt tails.

After a pretty fast hill I cut through a park to get to the main road. I'm catching a smell as I hit the path and start looking for a skunk. My light catches a few pairs of sneakers heading off towards the bushes. Must have disturbed a "wake and bake" ...

A nice ride in at 57f (14c). It was a bit brisk in shorts and sleeveless, but it's been that way all week, and once the shorts and sleeveless are on, they don't come off until there is pain from cold weather again.

I actually had to wear my light jacket, jsut a bit chilly at 50?F. Lots of people out really early this morning. Most mornings I might see a jogger or 2 or another commuter. Today there were several of both, lots of people out walking etc. Nice ride in.

Walked to work today, but I thought I'd mention that I had to laugh at myself because a bicyclist passed me and I instinctively wanted to give chase.

Had a nice pre work-from-home ride this morning. I like to ride down to a trail with a nice climb out of the river valley, very popular with commuter cyclists. Someday, my timing will be just so, and I'll get to race someone up the hill. I always see a few strong-looking cyclists in the area, but I'm usually going back down the hill as they're going up. Sometimes I'll go back up a second time for a little extra exercise, but today I did some exploring instead and found the beautiful new pedestrian bridge over the river that the city built a couple years ago. All in all, a very nice 20 km "commute" to my basement home office.

We should get out for an early ride one of these days... I won't be able to catch you but I also have the same commute.

How often to they let you work from home ? Sounds like it would be awesome.

Crazy headwind and downpour all the way home. Slowest commute since days of sleet.

ride was the usual 20.8 mile dst (short loop to/from) today. lots of road sharing :-) !
on return trip I got hit with hail/rain storm, made it to a closed facility and sat it out in shelter.
riding in electrical charged storms with 3/8 inch hail is an issue with me!
fiding shelter during can make it a Zen experience!

Rode from work to the Thursday Night World Championships. Got shelled like a roasted peanut. Then rode partially home: my wife took pity on me and drove the van out part way to pick me up. Knackered.

Had a nasty mechanical failure last week that resulted in me bouncing on the concrete or a dozen feet. This morning was the first that I felt like riding, so I spent 2 hours getting my backup POS Huffy rideable and cruised in gently. Sprained wrist held up okay.

Way home was about 10PM. 70 F, nice cool tailwind, almost no one on the road. My road rash was pretty sore by then, so I didn't make great time, but it was great to be back in the saddle.

I left the house later then I would have liked to because of accidental sleep-in but it worked out well because the fog had just lifted when I left @ 5:30am. Cool, but very calm and not a cloud in the sky! Bluest morning of the year I think after constant rains this week. Nice start to a very busy day at work.

A very lovely morning at 59F (15C). Traffic is much heavier coming in later, and there are more bad people in cars with bad behaviours when it comes to cyclists.

Ideal weather for commuting the last couple of days -- sunny, mild temperatures, low humidity and very little wind. Can't ask for more than that -- except for a break from the red lights, which are out to get me lately.
