A folder to train station? Drive part way, and ride the last section?

Me: surprisingly cold this morning after a wet ride home yesterday. Ice in the back yard. Still waiting for spring.

Very very windy, swirling wind, crosswind, tailwind, headwind... I've had headwind on every ride in the last 3 weeks, it's getting on my nerves, I hate wind .

Cool 1 celcius, gray sky but it's the last day of the week WOOHOO!!!

Nice week end everyone!

Same here on a much smaller scale. Mornings aren't a problem but ride home is a mess in certain sections of MUP. It's the annual emergence of the riff-raff (coined by commuting friend).

Cool 36F with pretty good headwind, but sunny and finally no rain. My first morning ride wearing sunglasses... it's a milestone

I don't even have a granny gear, I just take the car at 20mph+ wind!

Bonus commute today. I had planned to drive because the forecasters all week have been predicting tons of rain here today. It didn't happen. The rains never materialized and all we got was a few clouds, so I rode my bike after all.

Thought about this but time + expenses might not make it a reasonable solution. Hopefully I will be carpooling with a few coworkers and I'll be looking at jobs closer to my new home in the meantime.

Overdressed this morning, but I can't help it - I hate being cold! Anyway, it is a beautiful day and I'm sure I'll enjoy the warmer temps on the ride home. I love seeing the change from winter to spring. The woods look so beautiful now with the bright green leaves, whereas a last week they were still fairly bare.

I was expecting rain yesterday here but got none. I had to drive yesterday anyway.

I rode today seemed kinda chilly at first but warmed up quickly I guessed right on the clothing choices. (debated wearing heavier coat vs vest with arm warmers, wore arm warmers and vest) It worked. I also adjusted my seat and it has helped my hamstrings not seem as tight. I also concentrated on pulling up on the back of the stroke. WOW I felt good and strong. I hope to ride tomorrow as well.

65, no wind

about a mile from my house some tweens darted into the street without looking, one kid on foot chasing another kid on a razor scooter.

crashed right into the kid on foot cuz he basically jumped directly in front of my bike, i fell over and thankfully didnt get my skull crushed by a car

kids all like "ow my leg!".

pay attention you fool! if i was a car youd be chopmeat on the front page on tomorrows newspaper right now

****ing kids.

Was planning on doing intervals before work. Left the house too late to take the preferred route. Tried to do workout on backup route but there was just too much morning commute traffic and signs/lights to be safe and effective. Called it off, but was running too late for work so I couldn't just spin easily. I think I probably didn't get enough stress to get a good training effect, but enough to tire me out. Junk miles, essentially.

Oh, and yelled at 2 more salmon.

I'm starting to yearn for the cold, snowy wet weather of weeks and months ago. Between the wind and increasing bike path traffic, I'm starting to get worn out. I might go for a nice long night ride this weekend to clear the mind.

I made really good time through headwinds today until I got stuck behind another "slowest cyclist in the world". Overdressed in dark clothes with backpack and Walmart mountain bike - you know the type. After a while, he noticed me, got freaked out, and promptly rode into a pole. It looked painful.

Great ride this morning and all week -- my first 5-bagger in a while. I took it easy this morning because I've ridden 7 days in a row and 250+ miles during that period. It's the perfect day for a recovery ride with mild temperatures and light winds and lots of sun -- plus it's Friday.

Yeah I know, I was that type of guy when I started commuting 3 years ago at 280 pounds and nothing but a cheap bike. I felt ridiculous and out of place everytime I went by a 'regular' cyclist but I didn't want to spend big money on something I couldn't keep up or wouldn't like. After a few months and a few pounds less I went ahead and got more adequate equipment for regular commuting.

That's why I'm happy when I see that type of cyclist and I think to myself: Wow, another person getting is life back!

Cool morning again, -1C (30F) but with a lot of mist in the air, couldn't see street lights if they were further than 100m (100yd) away. Took it easy riding in, 20.3kmh (12.6mph) average over the 16.2km (10.1mi) (can you tell that I found my cyclocomputer, LOL). I am planning to take a long fitness/training ride this afternoon as my commute home, in training for my first 2xmetric centuries (100km on each of May 25 and 26, Toronto to Barrie, then Barrie to Toronto). The fitness ride is primarily West out then East back and this morning, there was a breeze from the West so I'll be going into a headwind for the ride out.

Another cool morning, 37F, but sunny. Ride home yesterday was a slog - wind shifted and had a headwind going home too, and by the afternoon it was howling

They are saying we should make it to 60F (16C) for the first time this year today! We've only been in the 50's four times. It's been consistantly 10-20 degrees below our normal average temps. We won't know what to do with ourselves.

I wasn't much different 5 years ago, the sad thing is most of those guys you only see once or twice and then they disappear forever.

50 degrees.......... bright and sunny blue sky........... lake michigan an infinity of twinkling sparkles......... ripping tailwind at my 6:00 o'clock all the way up the lakeshore.

that, ladies and gentlemen, IS cycling perfection! it just doesn't get any better than that; if i could only bottle a morning like today's.

Record Time, I caught 5 green lights out of 8. I had to hustle to get the last one on a nice uphill. I saw the pedetrian light counting down from 20, 19, 18, so I put in an all out sprint since I had no traffic. Crossed the line just as the light changed from yellow to red. I need a taller gear than 39-18.

Spring was nice while it lasted (a little more than a month)!
Sunny with mild winds and temps in the mid 20's C (77F), and expected to reach 32C (90F) till Tuesday and drop off a few degrees after that.
