Trying to figure out who made this rack so that I can at least get an idea of what kind of mounting hardware it originally used. I haven't seen mounts like this before and all of the replacements struts I see for sale online don't match up. I suppose I could use some l brackets to get it to work but if i could go another route that would be prefered. It doesn't seem to have any markings or branding on it at all.

Probably you could get the straps for any rack and then twist them with some channel locks so that they become flat. I had to twist the straps that came with my Topeak rack to get it to fit right on my hybrid. The center mount, my guess is used if the bike doesn't have mounts on the side of the seat stays.

Or maybe you could use those metal straps that are used to fasten water heaters to the wall.

Ya the ones you linked were the ones I was looking at, they are the only ones I could find that didnt turn at the end.

I checked their site and if it is a Performance rack it looks like they don't sell that style anymore. Looks like a trip to Home Depot, Menards or Lowes for some flat wire and drill bits is in order. It would be real easy to fabricate something.

Thanks for finding that! Going to have do some garage engineering it looks like, but I'm sure I can make it work.

I don't think so; I used that stuff to make a custom rear-blinkie mount for my rack, and that worked well (bc the blinkie is so light), but I think the tape would not resist much flex, allowing a loaded rack to rotate forward.

I second the recommendation to flatten the typical twisted hardware. Just squeeze it in a vise until you get it flat.
