Insulated & tactile gloves ?
Last year a guy I was riding with had a pair of full finger gloves that were well insulated, mostly along the backs of the hands and fingers and a bit in the palm, but the inside of the fingers were fairly thin and tactile so it was easy to pick up or twist really small things. Anyone know what these might be? He said they were mechanics gloves (but I don't think they were the Mechanix brand).

10 Wheels, I'm looking for tactile, not tactical (though I suppose there's probably a bit of overlap). I did look through some of the tactical from your links but they all seemed kind of thick on the inside and/or didn't have any kind of grip surface on the fingertips. Thanks though.

EDIT: Recently bought a pair of GORE cycling gloves. Super Saver tip: the XL @ amazon was $10.00 cheaper ($31) than the L, trust me, you need the XL, I barely fit in mine, and my hands are standard L) Tactile grips on the fingers and palms, Thinuslate insulation and Windstopper outer. Match my Gore cycling jacket perfectly. Were not up to 27* Target outdoor (not ski) gloves ($18) are all you need. MUCH warmer than the Gore but 27* will still be uncomfortable. There is enough room in their L/XL for a pair of thin liners, that's what I am shoping for now, liners for my Target gloves.

i am not sure you will find a glove that does both. i bought these recently I am impressed with there ability to grip and hold stuff. I don't think they would be very warm though.

Duluth Trading has work gloves that might do the trick. Since they're made for working outdoors all day with tools,they should be both warm and tactile.
