Bike stolen in Sudbury, reward

Well, you never think it will happen to you until it does. Bike was stolen on August 9 between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM from Lowe's where I work. It was a 58cm blue 2010 Kona Jake the Snake mostly stock with black fenders, Specialized seat bag, Selle Italia saddle, black aluminum bottle cages, mounts for lights, 105 pedals, 28mm Vittoria slicks on Mavic Aksiums and scuffed-up left handlebar. I've filed a police report and will be putting up some posters with picture. Will also be checking CL/kijiji/ebay and visiting local hock shops. Is there anything else I can do? I wonder what my chances are of finding it again..... As for the reward, 150$ if the bike is recovered mostly intact and an additional 150$ if the thief is caught.

PS: what is the etiquette on posting these types of threads? I don't see as many stolen bike threads as I feel I should considering the size of the BF community. Should I also post this in Road and General for better visibility even though it will probably mildly annoy most people?

BF's set up a thread for stolen bikes. Not sure if it will help ... but here's the link:

your bike got stolen in sudbury, don't like 10 people live there, pretty sure your neighbor has it, you can probably catch him riding around the block with it sooner or later.

Bikes: I never learned to ride a bike. It is my deepest shame.

Ha ha. Funny, arsehole.

To the OP: I am about three hours down the road and there is little chance it will show up in my town, but I have much sympathy for you.

I hope you get the bike back. Let us know!

I am surprised Lowe's does not have a spot you can bring your bike into the store and lock it up.
