I suspect with some effort, your goal of one hour is realistic, and you may be able to make it without recharging at work. Last week I did an errand run just over 40 miles and still had 3 bars left.
That sounds great. What aH battery you have? I'm sure you've mentioned it in other threads but whatever.

Piece of cake! ... I can count on 40 miles of hilly roads at 20+mph with a 13ah 52v battery.. my goal is around 10w/per mile.. I have , on paper, close to 700 w/h to work with .. I'm thinking if I use 400w to 500w before a recharge, I'm not killing the battery and I can get 40 to 50 miles (or 3 15mile loops) .. I try to do a 15+ mile loop daily during lunch .. used to take well over an hour before e-assist.. now, well under ... I don't use throttle ..

The battery is 48v 11.5 ah, motor is a DD hub 500w continuous 750w peak.
I've found that since I ride my e-bike like a regular bike by still putting full effort into pedaling, I'm getting much better range and average speed for a given PAS level than whats published, or many e-bike riders who don't have a cycling background get. Your mid drive should be even more efficient.

You can count on 100 Mile's or 200 Miles per charge, or even more, it all depends on how much "effort" you put in, and how hilly your ride is... In my experience 20, the magic number per watt Hrs, per mile of assistance, it is for me anyways... JMO.

First e-bike work commute this AM.

So I rode all around Friday, Saturday and Sunday and got up to 41 miles on the first charge (100% charge), with around 48 volts left. I charged up to 100% again last night, as directed by Luna for the first 4-5 charges, and rode 15.5 miles to work this morning. I averaged 16 MPH with a 10 MPH head wind, and I still have 55.1 volts left in the tank. That's more than enough to get home, and I'll have a 15 MPH tail wind.

This gives me confidence that I can make the whole 31 mile round trip commute on one charge even when I switch the battery charger to 80% after 2-3 more charges.
