Best Buy Blowing out Garmin 305's
Dunno if they're doing it everywhere, but walked into a Best Buy store today and they're clearancing Garmin 305's w/HR strap (no speed/cadence) for $139. Thought someone might like to know.

Garmin Edge 305 or Garmin Forerunner 305? The Forerunner 305 has been available for around $150 from lots of places for a while. Edge 305 is somewhat more expensive.

I am debating on getting the 305 or the Cateye Strada double wireless. I am not sure which one to get. I will check my local Bestbuy to see if they have any.

The 305 might be discontinued now that the 500 is out. My 305 was one of my favorite gadgets, but the design flaw that led to shutdown disease made it unreliable after a while. I ended up with three of them, with the last two provided free by Garmin when the previous one died. The third one got the battery fix that cured the disease, but made it less waterproof, which ultimately killed it. So I'd be a little reluctant to pick up a new one knowing that in several months it's likely to start turning off during a ride, and you might not be able to get a replacement. Nonetheless, its functionality is great and that price can't be beat.
