Best Place To Buy Magicshine HL

From reading some of the threads here the magicshine seems to be the best headlight for the money? Where is the best place online to order one right now? THanks.

I was going to order an extra battery and another headlight, but Geomangear seems to be sold out. Wonder what's up with that?

One more vote for Geoman Good customer service. I had issues with their new tail lights, they took them back for refund after 6 weeks with no hassle. The person who responded was very friendly and cool.

From the GeoManGear web site:

GeoManGear has temporarily discontinued sales of Magicshine lightsets due to our concerns regarding the quality of Magicshine's lithium-ion battery packs. We have determined that the Magicshine battery packs do not meet GeoManGear's high expectations regarding product performance and quality. We are working with the manufacturer to quickly resolve these issues and will begin selling Magicshine products again after we have obtained a high-quality battery pack for our customers.

Yeah, two of my four batteries just died suddenly, no warning. I'm not sure about the third, charging it now.

There's three different styles of battery pack:

-original, which has the four cells shrink-wrapped (poor water proofing) and includes the lame nylon bag
-cannister, sold by Geoman, should be better waterproofing, and with a different nylon bag
-case and strap, which has a plastic and aluminum case, with voltage display, and mounting strap. These are sold by DealExtreme and (so far) only with headlights.
https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.44459 (also spotted a new light: https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.44676, although I don't like the headlight mount as much as the mj-808).

The cannister type may well be the same four shrink-wrapped cells in a plastic can.

The DealExtreme case and strap battery looks like the best from a mounting perspective, but I don't know if its reliability is better or worse than the others. My original style from last year is still going. I just got another one and a taillight from DealExtreme. Shipping to California took over two weeks.
