50 mile ride with my Son-in-law
Monday I did a 50 miler from Cape Elizabeth, Maine to Camp Ellis in Saco Maine (roundtrip).
Every father should have a son-in-law like mine. Kind, considerate, humorous; more like a buddy than a relative.
A hot humid day but still a lot of fun as usual with such a great companion.

So your daughter actually found a young man who met her father's approval?
With two sons and no daughters, I shall never have a son-in-law, although I have a wonderful daughter-in-law and an equally delightful probable future daughter-in-law. I do have very fond memories of my own father-in-law, who was a rocket scientist and crazy amateur inventor, and, as a bonus, evidently approved of me.

Should have made the young guy ride the 50 miles on a mountain bike. That would have evened the playing field!
