Breakfast ride

Mrs. Grouch and I have been trying to find a suitable breakfast ride site for years. I think that I've finally found one. It's the Bike Stop Cafe in St Charles MO. 7 1/2 miles down the Katy Trail from our condo. Lots of friendly bicycle people out there this morning. Not a good place to order breakfast if you have some place that you have to be, but that didn't apply to me this morning.

Mrs. Grouch and I used to take breakfast rides every Sunday. I've been missing them. Hopefully, this will work out.

Around here there's the "First Watch" in Sarasota that's a destination spot for many riders. They are also the main sponsor for a half marathon/relay half marathon. WONDERFUL event IMO and huge medal, great food and the strawberries on the course this year were OUT OF THIS WORLD GRRRREAT!!!

First Watch is where Mrs. Grouch and I eat breakfast every Saturday morning with one of our daughters and our son-in-law. Sometimes my sister and/or a couple of grand daughters drop in. Once in a while our great grand son makes the show. On a good Saturday we can fill up a pretty big table. Don't bicycle to Saturday breakfast, however.

So, you might say they were "berry berry good?"

For me, breakfast is always the same thing; oatmeal (old fashioned rolled oats) with chopped walnuts, raisins, (dark) brown sugar, cinnamon, and sliced banana. I am a creature of inflexible habit...

Same here, but I throw in some apple chunks, too, and the banana on the side. I suppose that I am in the same boat with you, as to the "Inflexible Habit Syndrome".
