Perfect Meal x 2, Doing and MS 150 in June Dinner the night before each 75 mile ride
Looking for opinion on pre ride dinner x2. MS 150 in June. Dinner Friday night and Saturday night. Preferably super easy as we are camping. Thinking like a pound of pasta or something. I really don't know. I'd be fine eating whatever but some true insight would be of help. Thanks.

I have a riding buddy who swears by 3 hot dogs on buns with the works. That's pretty easy. My dinners are so varied that I don't have enough data to suggest one is particularly better than another. Carbs and protein. Don't overeat.

I never change my diet when planning on a longer ride. Just eat normally which for me is a balanced meal. Protein, carbs and some vegetables.

Bikes: One brand-less build-up, and a Connondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra Disc. A nicer bike than I need, but it was a good deal, so... ;-)

I was talking with my Pastor this morning about it (he's a marathon runner and, like me, has lost some significant weight) and he said he starts carb loading at dinner the Wednesday evening before a Sunday morning race. That's 84 hours ahead. Then again, he's racing, we're not. I'm not sure that dinner the night before makes that much of a difference unless you do something dumb like overeat.
I would suggest that you think more about what you will eat immedately after the first day's ride. You have about a 30 minute window of opportunity after a hard effort to get your best shot at recovery for day 2. A balance of carbs and protein is the ticket. A pint of low fat chocolate milk has been shown to work pretty well, and it certainly feels like reward for a job well done.
That's my game plan anyway...Good Luck and enjoy the ride!
