WAY TO GO!! Congratulations! Sounds like you did just fine and was well prepared. Forget speed, according to what you posted you were somewhere around 14.5 mph ave. Nothing wrong with that.
You did everything right it seems and it turned out great. A little pre-ride prep goes a long way toward success. Two thumbs up!

Congratulations! Sounds like you did a really smart ride, and now have justification for an N+1 experience. It doesn't get much better than that.

Congrats. Also, thanks for all of the good tips. I plan on doing my first century in 2 weeks. It will be an unsupported ride. just my wife and I. She probably will only do 75. The distance to our friends house. We have made that ride several times and have gone max of 82miles. So I want to add the extra to get in the 100. Last week I road 60 and didn't realize it. The weather was so nice here in S. Jersey I think I could have ridden all day. As a bike friend always says, drink before you're thirsty, eat before you're hungry and rest before you're tired. I love riding in the fall!
