Sunday Ride 022116

Bit chilly for my liking, but I'd rather be riding outdoors than on the trainer inside. Saturday I had the single speed out and today took the road bike out for a nice little rolling route.

Similar weather here today in MI. I didn't wear enough clothes and stopped for a quick coffee at the halfway point. I lined the inside of my helmet with a few napkins while I was there.

Zipp,
I think your avatar line sums it up, and it sounds like this ride fit in well. Good on you.

It's uncanny -- I think I could have written that post. I also had my single-speed out on Saturday, and decided to do a few hills on my road bike today. Temps here were a little colder, wind was a bit less, also less traffic than on your youtube video. And it's Colorado, not Mass. Nice scenery there though (I did live out along 495 for a few years).

Chilly here in my corner of Michigan. Sunny and 32, today. Going to have a good week in training. No more subzero. I hope.

I'm not in Stow but next to it. Central Mass I'm thinking a bit further out. The furthest West I've ridden from home was Fitchburg. 70s next week! woohoo!

Hey rum !

I work in the center of Fitchburg and you need to check out my Bikemanforu Jersey series video's because (The Wall videos) are all just me going up all the thigh burners in Fitchburg. I live in Winchendon which is about 20 mile west of Fitchburg, but ride around Leominster, Fitchburg, Lunenburg, Ayer, Clinton, West Boylston, and Worcester often. Really looking forward to next weeks weather, will be taking out my newly painted TT bike for it's first run since putting it back together.

The past few weeks have been insane, with snow mid-week and sunny spring weather every weekend. I finally did the shortest one of the "7 loops" of the Madison County Trail system here, and only got lost twice, going up a snake-like switchback bike trail to nowhere, then taking a left onto the Goshen Trail, when I should have taken a right, so I ended up going closer to 15 miles than the 11 or so that I planned.

As to your choice of music, if you have 7 women on your mind, you can just forget about "taking it easy"

Question for you rum, have you ever been on the minute man trial ? At least I think that's whats it's called. I've been on the one out of Ayer that goes into NH, but no other ones. If you have what kind of shape is it in and is it super crowned ? Thanks.

Yeah it has been a tough February in Phoenix. Of the 29 days in February this year, only 28 of those did we make into the 80's. Of course come July I will really be complaining.

yup, very nice trail. was on it last weekend during prime-time and it was very busy. it's kinda short, just under 9 miles from Bedford (Bedford Depot) to Alington. Some highlights include restrooms in Bedford open during "the season", in Lexington is a Visitors' Center w restrooms open year-round. Arlington has a nice casual cafe called the "Kickstand" with bike racks and outdoor seating. Lots of photos and info in this popular thread

Very nice club ride today - bluebird day with great views of Buzzards Bay and temps in the 40s F. This coming week should be even better. As usual, it will be painful building up to decent mileage again. I'm looking forward to it.
