No cold, but wind and rain. Trainer again...
Well, the bitter cold is gone, and I actually did ok with it (I say bitter cold, 20-25F). Even the freezing fog.
But now I have to deal with the trainer.
See, it's raining and blowing about 25mph out there this morning. And the rain is predicted to cause local flooding. I don't care to share the road with cars having to deal with conditions this nasty. Not to mention the unpleasantness of the ride in such conditions, but it's almost always a good day to ride...
But tonite it's the trainer. No ride in today. Disappointing, as I thought it funny that my first ride while it was snowing was yesterday, the first day of spring. But after all my traveling in Jan and Feb, even the trainer is a good ride - gotta get those traveling pounds off...

After putting in 30 miles today I can't say as I blame you. On the other hand I can't make myself work out on a trainer, or treadmill, or any other sensible indoor device, except to lift weights a couple of times per week. There weren't too many cars on my route, but yeah they kicked up some spray.
If I can think of something I need to do here at home I may take tomorrow off. Or maybe ride my motorcycle to work.
At WOU where I started my ride home today I came out of the bathroom to find a guy looking at my bike and asking me about it. Since I bought it back in October he's the first person who knew what it was. On the other hand, he's actually been on some cool tours while all I do is commute. So far.

Did anybody in the NW ride their bikes today? I wanted a rest day anyway after two 30 mile days in a row, but had planned to ride my motorcycle. When I got up and saw all the snow I remembered there was nothing going on at work that I needed to worry about so I took the day off. The rain and snow never really let up. This may have been the most miserable day of the winter, even though winter is over. I don't have high hopes for tomorrow either. Friday, please??? That would be a 27 or 31 mile day....

I rode today. In the morning it was 37 with no wind or rain. On the way home it was about 34, still no wind. There was a "wintery mix" when I left the office, but by the time I got home it was snowing pretty hard. By the time I climbed the hill to my house it was even sticking. Right now, it's coming down like crazy but there's still only about half an inch on the ground.
This is ridiculous.

Very cold and very wet yesterday. No wind to speak of, though.
I had 4" new snow this morning so I drove my pickup. Like I said above I'm intending to ride tomorrow. Bicycle, not motorcycle.

Day off tomorrow, so hoping for a road ride if things keep melting off. Saturday is mtb day, hoping for a longer road ride on Sunday. Weather permitting....or not.
