Another 45 mile ride today. Rode with my friend, Karen, for about 14 miles on lap two, then ended up doing the last 7 miles solo. Good ride, even though it was hot, humid and windy.

19 miles after work today. Went west over White River and rode on the semi-rural roads of Decatur Township.

Rode with a new local group last night along with two others I normally ride with on Tuesday and Thursday nights. We left the parking lot in a group of about 20. At about 7-8 miles the group made a right turn and I was about 5th in line. A mile or so later I looked behind me and my companions were no where to be seen.......and there were only 8 of us in the group. It became obvious I was with the A group so I hung on for all I was worth. 37 miles at 21 mph with 1500' of climbing-with most of the hills bunched together. A lot more of a workout than I'd planned.......

18 miles on the Roubaix. A little cool this AM (long sleeves). I managed to beat the rains home. Hey, this is high desert, why is it raining? Did Seattle have an overflow?

34 early miles today with two friends. Averaged just under 17 MPH, which is pushing it somewhat for me. But it was flat and virtually no wind so I was able to suck wheel some. :-)

No ride yet this year, crashed last year and tore up my left knee. I think I will give it an easy try tomorow, hopefully the weather here in northern Vt will oblige. At 75 years old things seem to heal a bit slower. We will see what Sunday morning will bring.

38 miles of a scheduled 52 mile ride. Our afternoon thunderstorms moved in a lot sooner than we expected and the skies were not looking pretty.

17.5 mile dual ride today, 10 on the reconfigured (chain & tubes) trike and 7.5 on the Allez. Too nice a Sat afternoon to stay off the bike path. Now I'm tired.

12.5 miles Thursday after work.
75 hilly and hot miles today. Funny how the mind works, it was a tough ride and my mind was saying, "I hate hills, I'm going to quit cycling". The truth is I like hills, and I wont quit cycling.

Only 8 miles , had a lot of work in the garden today. first dry spell in a while so I had to weed. I have been looking at the electra loft 1. I don't need another bike , but like the looks of the nickel plated version. Local park got 2 in for rentals . $9 for an hour test ride Cool bike I may have to have one

48 miles tandem ride with favorite stoker and lots of others today on a club ride combined with a fundraiser for the B&O Trail near Brownsburg, IN. All on rural roads, as very little of the Trail has been completed.

Ah cool! A couple of weeks ago I did 50 miles starting at the north end at Pulaski and heading south. The north end has a ton of really cool high railroad trestles. Not sure about the south end. I plan to finish the rest of it some time this summer. Waiting for a couple of dry days for the mud to dry out

101 miles starting in the Shenandoah Valley in Middlebrook VA, over to Afton at the start of the Blue Ridge Parkway, south to Vesuvius and back via Greenvile. 8.4K of climbing.

Met a nice young woman on the BRP who is doing the TransAm. She was struggling a bit and was a little bit discouraged, but was really a trooper. I assured her that she was on the hardest part of the entire trip across the country. Not sure if that helped or hurt

Made me wish I was doing the trip also. Or maybe it just made me want to be 25 again. Not sure which
