Idiots who don't know how to use the bike lane
This video (from our local traffic cameras) made the national news this week.
You'll see it's of some local pedestrians so stupid they were walking *on* the freeway instead of on the bike lane (which I take every day to work). If they just would have stepped over the barrier, they would have been safe from traffic, and avoid all the trouble you see here (you can see they required a police escort to make it safely off the freeway).
There's a quick shot of a cyclist fixing a flat at the very beginning of the video - then at about 26 seconds into the video you'll see a cyclist doing it the *right* way.

Are the police patrol cars trying to pull them over for ticketing? Probably so.

At least they were going with traffic and not against it like most idiots. Noticed how they tried to stay on the freeway by crossing the off ramp, but the police car had to head them off and keep them to the right?

We have the same problem in my area with scofflaw geese wandering around at will all over the bike path with no consideration whatsoever for traffic. Just the other day I witnessed with my own eyes a 4 year old on a trike barely avoided a serious collision with a mama goose and a troop of gooslings.

Wow the cops are causing a lot more traffic problems than the geese are. If the geese are dumb enough to get hit, then they deserve it. Darwinism!

Canada Geese ? Out near my place they waddle into the middle of the street and stand there. They won't move for cars but as soon as a bus comes, they'll take off in a hurry.

Great fun. I take back three of the bad things I've said and thought of I-90.

The police said that it's a huge hazard to let them wander around the freeway -- cars will brake for them, weave around them, etc. -- creating big hazards for motorists.

Pluck, gut
Insert orange and lemon, rub with salt, pepper corns, cumin
20 mins at max, uncovered. Cover, foil or lid, 3 hours at 300 f
Uncover, lay bacon strips, back to max, 20 minutes
Rest 30 minutes, whilst reading the Highway code.

+1 I agree! The responses are great!
I work next to a lake. A valid and accepted excuse for being late for work is:
"Geese delay."
Yes, I do blame the Canadians. But not just for geese.

Ken Brown; Canada geese. Will probably blame it on Canada.
