I carry 2 tubes, 1 Scab kit, 3 CO2 cartridges and a couple of alcohol wipe packs to clean off tube where Scab patch will go on if needed. The alcohol preps the area for a Scab patch.

+1, A wipe makes a big difference in how well the scab patches take, IME. I keep a few in the bag, also. Along with the pair of surgical gloves so I am not all greasy and gungy after doing the repair, especially a rear wheel. I wish the manufacturers would return to the chain hangers on the right seat stay for these instances.

First flat in 40 years?

I had a stretch commuting a month or so ago when I had 4 flats in two days from various causes like defective tubes and real punctures.

I carry a new or nearly new patch kit and a spare tube, and a full-length frame pump. Frame pumps never run out of air.

When closing your tube of glue, squeeze out enough so that you don't have ANY air under the cap.
I really like the REMA kit, but do carry a couple stick on patches. They seem to work OK until you blow up the tube looking for your "next" pinhole leak.
