Modified For Commute Felt TK3 Advice
Hey Guys,
So I just got to NYC and decided I definitely need a bike. Because i live in a 4 storey walk up, i needed something light weight.
The TK3 I found in my local shop had a hole for a front break I decided to grab, its under 20 pounds for $850. I threw a straight handlebar and front brake on it for another $100 making for a sub 20 pound bike for under $1k.
What do you guys think? Was this a good decision? I have not yet had a real chance to ride it but the little i did seemed good.
My only issue so far is that its a fixed gear, I though this would be fine and its not horrible, but i really would prefer if it was a single speed, its just what I'm used too. Sooooo can I do this? I dont think its possible to put a rear brake on it because of the shape of the frame...
Anyway, hope you guys can help me out.
Cheers,
Simon
