Have: single Greenspeed Scorcher 40-406 (20" x 1.5") tire, unused (shop had taken it off a new recumbent). I carried this as a spare on tour, plan to replace both tires with touring rather than racing rubber.

Want: Marathon(s), lights (especially the new COB LEDs which are cheap on ebay but take a few weeks to arrive from China), handlebar bag, ???

Edit: I'm an hour north of San Francisco and close to a post office. Prefer USPS.

Also have a Thudbuster LT that came off a Dahon Smooth Hound. See above for possible trades.

Looking for possible trade: my bike (see below) for a quality single speed folding bike, lightweight, for my adult son (he is 5'10"). No bells and whistles, no complexity, just a quality single speed (not a fixie). A brompton S1 older model would be ideal!

My bike:
2003 Bike Friday, small frame (I am 5’5”). I purchased this bike from the original owner and have put a lot of money and effort into it. The bike was shipped to Bike Friday in Oregon and had a full overhaul: completely stripped down to the frame and given a fresh powder coat. Everything was cleaned carefully and hinge pin replaced and frame re-aligned. Helicopter tape has been applied to frame in places where it might get scratched.

Reassembled with
*new cables,
*Shimano Hollowtech II bottom bracket ***not the std square taper BB, big upgrade
*brand new 165mm FSA cranks,
*new Vuelta 50t chainring,
*new Shimano HG50 japanese 13-30 cogset,
*new Sram PC870 chain.

Subsequently I upgraded the following:
*new Avid BB5 brakes
*New Avid BB7 brake levers
*New rear wheel (terra trike) with updated hub that accepts up to 10 speed cassette
*New cat eye speed and cadence sensors
*new cat eye computer
*New grips
*New Nitto Technomics quill stem (long) so you can ride upright or sporty with a turn of the hex key (has some scratches)
*New seatpost Kalloy SP 248 offset (has some scratches)

The original Sram twist shift and Sram rear derailleur works flawlessly but are easy to upgrade when you increase the gearing.

Bike will be traded with standard Bike Friday handlebars (flat bar) and standard Bike Friday saddle (unused) and standard BF pedals and rubber grips. Nitto bars and Brooks B17s available for an offer of added value.

The bike can easily be upgraded to a 1x10 (replace cogs, chain, shifter) or you can add multiple chain rings (has brazed on front derailleur hanger) for more speeds. Currently is set up with 7 speeds using a spacer on the rear hub (which is designed for 8 or more). I never completed the gearing upgrade because I bought the pakiT.
