Stock Bromptons with Shimano Alfine hub in the UK soon!
As a result of my project last year, Fudge's Cycle Store in Paddington London will be stocking some Bromptons off the shelf with the 8 Speed Alfine hub.
The owner Andrew Fudge is much more keen on going this route than modfiying existing bikes as it is more cost effective and worthwhile for their store as a business. He simply works with the frame and adds the required parts.
This is great news for people who want a more highly specified Brompton. I can attest once againt to how well it works on my bike. It was a decent ride before the upgrade but rides amazing now.
Fudges are also a main Dahon dealer but went into Bromptons because of the sheer demand for them. Great to see more folding bike specialists like this and they tend to give great service too. Same with ThorUSA (Brakemeister) across the pond
