There are some people who should not be seen in tight fitting clothing and I am one. I don't were cycling clothing on a bike.

Me too. I won't wear my stuff other than riding but I might grab my jacket if it's "just right".

What's cycling clothing? Jeans and a Hawaiian shirt?

shokhead 04-29-06 06:25 AM

You guys are starting to make me rethink this. If i wore my cycling shorts would i get more dates?

Only for special weather circumstances.
The ear band and skull cap (black).
Sometimes the arm warmers and/or leg warmers when I'm headed to the gym in winter.
The clear plastic rain shell gets used a lot.

Clean yer other jersey bub, the "EDMONTON OILERS" one and wear it instead. As a fellow Canuck, I'll pretend that you never really asked this question.

I wore my cycling cap today. Does that count?

If I am on the way home from a ride, I won't let my bike attire stop me from completing errands. If the store is too yuppie, I might put on gym shorts over the bike shorts. Anyway, I think it wise to let them know you are biking. The Smell. Gives them cause to understand my overall condition.
Besides, where I am living now. No one thinks a thing of it anyway... Cyclists are everywhere.
But, does anyone wear cycling clothes, if not out on the bike. Cycling clothes feel great on the bike. But, after about 5 hours, seem a bit binding to one's parts; if not on the bike.

caps sometimes, when out on a sunny day or my hair looks like crap. I have a shell (windbreaker) that is suitable for street wear, and sometimes I've worn bike socks with my running shoes at the gym.

dude... wearing a jersey without cycling is unacceptable! lol... dude, this is why we get made fun of! Thanks for adding to the persistent dork stigma we all endure!
