Lightest Pump on Kickstarter
Just backed the iPump, and thought there would be interest here. Looks really cool as it's Carbon Fiber, small and weighs only 21 grammes.

How long will it take (how many strokes) to pump up a tire to 90+ psi after a flat when out on the road?

This is humorous-
I'm sorry, but the only reason I ever touch my frame pump is if/when I have to fix a flat away from my house.
And thanks to the flexible yellow high pressure hose connected directly to the Presta air valve connector, you never have to worry about braking your bicycle tire air valve or getting your hands dirty while mounting and dismounting the Presta air valve connector, since you never touch the tire.

Yeah...I'm not holding out much hope for that thing.
I'm certainly not encouraged that the designer finds CNC machines "very high technology" and "truly fascinating."
It's funded, but it looks like it's going to be virtually useless as an inflation device.
I'm quite shocked 168 people so far found the product and pitch compelling enough to give him money. Bizarre.

I agree something that small is NOT moving much of a volume of air. You'd have as much luck building an Egyptian pyramid with a used condom and a fly swatter. Maybe in the same time period you might get just enough air to ride to a service station with an aircompressor..

Before people back this stuff, at least they should take a look at a company like Lezyne and their products. Besides being dishonest (Schraeder to presta adaptor something new!? WTF!?), their (the Kickstarter people's) pump seem to be a design ripoff of some of Lezyne's offerings.

They were giving away similar tiny pumps at a Bike to Work event a couple years ago. Might be OK for basketballs but I decided to keep the Zefal and Lyzene pumps I already had.

"Never found one that is 100percent LOCKTIGHT !!! Not a drop of air escapes!!!
And weighs only 1 gram !!!
Try sticking yours in water while you pump!! "
Obviously since they use multiple exclamation points, these guys are legit.
Note, they failed to address the 'first' claim.
