410 miles last week on GOBA, about 55-50 miles a day, plus the century on Thursday, that turned out to be a real "adventure" because of an inadequately prepared riding partner, but I finished strong in 90+ degree heat and a headwind, despite it all.

My arms are so tanned I look like a migrant farm worker

Gary that is so stoopid 4 cop cars to get you off the road on your bike. What a crazy mixed up world we live in.

Next week cycling in circles around Kelley's Island

Some pictures from today.

Nice and calm

Lake Michigan looking hazy ~4 miles in the distance

Stopped to check the temp at one of the lakes, it didn't feel a bit chilly despite how cold this year has been, perfect time for a photo op with my bike

Had a fox cross the road in front of me, so I stopped to take a picture, I couldn't figure out why she was hanging out watching me until I heard some squeaking coming from the other side of the road

Her tiny little pup, it would have probably fit in just one hand.

6/28 Me, my wife and momof4, rode the Twin Sizzler course to check it out, 34 miles total.

For anyone that's done it before, Rt 3 has been repaved from the tracks to 162, smooth as a babies a## now, no more ruts holes or bumbs, SWEET!!!

Milwaukee Tour de Cure - 61 miles. Windy, wow! At least the route was mostly north-south and the wind was out of the west. The last mile or so right into the wind was an ass kicker.

Rode the Hockhocking Bikeway in Athens/Nelsonville area(40mi round trip).Lots of quiet country roads seem to connect to this path.Very little traffic for such a scenic area on a Saturday.Need to post pictures in 2 weeks on next visit to relatives house.
I understand from the locals another bikeway is almost complete @Lancaster,Ohio.
Jumped into Lake Logan and found the water too warm for my taste,it,s just not Lake Erie.Nothing is hotter than the Ohio Valley in Summer.

Goba # 1 for me and family. Total riding miles for me was 328 total (no century for me, spent the days with the kids at Sauder Village).

1- Goba is cool
2- Best vacation I ever had
3- My Specialized Sequoia performed great (Can you really love your bike?)
4- Training pays, I cold have bagged more Miles before GOBA but I was prepared
5- Pulling a Tag-A-Long for 61 miles S U C K S... ( I am loking for a gently used Tandem now!!!!- serious)

a spirited 40 miles today. There were times when I was flying and passing cars on Hilliard between Bradley and Crocker, and there were times when I was just slogging around. I did a route I haven't done yet with the Giant.
And yes, carbon fiber is AMAZING over bricked roads.

Just finished a 23 mile group ride. I am good and sore, working on my old wrestling and football recovery methods so I am ready for tomorrow night.

8 miles into a 28 mile ride in the wind and rain I got "buzzed" by two F'ing hilljacks in a red F-150. I was at Lorain and St Rt-83 heading west. Idiots nearly killed me 500 feet before the intersection, The got "stuck" at the red light and as I rode up the 2 pieces of human excrement were laughing till I pulled up besides them, Chick S*&^'s RAN THE LIGHT afraid of ME on my road bike, and wet rain coat- I hate punks like that. They were laughing and then shut the heck up when I stared em down at the light- I can not believe they ran the light to get away- I got their plate!!~

Other than that, first ride since Goba on Saturday and it was a nice hard ride/pace.

Almost my ride last night through the outskirts of Brunswick. The only difference, the guys must have drove their blue F-150. I caught up to them at the intersection of Sub Station and Rt 303. I apologized to them for not recognizing how important they were, and the fact the 7 seconds it took to get around me impacted their valuable lives so greatly.

06/30, 28 miles

Finally back in the saddle after ~6 weeks of knee problems.

345 miles for June (most of which was in the last 2 weeks).
