Weekend Plans

seems like things are pretty quiet on the riiding schedule. maybe we need a last minute BFNIC outting?

just some lounging around with the family for me. toss in some early morning rides, some beers, some grilling and it should be a nice weekend.

what are your big plans for the labor day weekend?

later.

I'm riding out to Wonder Lake for breakfast tomorrow about 50 miles +. Grilling on Saturday night. Hoping to get a ride in on Sunday before I drop my wife off at her mothers for the week. Monday, once back in town, an evening ride.

I've been pulling my hair out.

Wife gave a to me doing some kind of ride Saturday. I am chained to my son....errr....parenting Sunday and Monday so I see a trail ride with trailer one of those days (or both).

Apart from that I'm going to try to sneak out during lunch for 20 miles, and spend my free time building wheels (spokes are prep'd...need to lube nipples and then lace it).

Hey aham....I get to lube your nipples tonight.

...but I would be interested in a last minute get together ride on Saturday (tomorrow). If not I am riding the Village Pedaler ride.

I'll be up at Camp Duncan (YMCA) family camp. Surprisingly good fun so I need some riding in the Ingleside area.

Jester ... we'll be close. What you thinking about? I need to ride pretty early so I get back before missing too many events. I'll be in Ingleside and would like to be back by 9AM. Interested in Saturday, Sunday, and maybe even Monday mornings. Do you know the roads in the area?

If you all are up for a drive to Mt Horeb the Wright Stuff Century is on Sunday. Awesome (hilly) ride and not too expensive. www.bombaybicycle.org.

I'm not familiar with the Ingleside area. So can't help a brother out with nice riding routes.

My last big weekend of the year to make money, so I am stuck working all weekend. To make things worse we have a 4 and 5 day bike tour that will be in town this weekend. Around 1000 riders taunting me with there bikes. Oh yeah the weather looks like it will be perfect for a ride.

Well at least after this weekend I don't have to worry about making money and I can ride more.

Originally my plans had been to start campaigning in earnest as the VP choice for John McCain, but that didn't pan out. An Alaskan governor??? C'mon, Johnny. I'm ready to lead, man!

So I'll probably stay close to home, as neighbors are planning some sort of ongoing party that starts tonight going through Monday. Maybe an early morning 50 on Saturday to get something in as I have been off bike since Tuesday.

Big Ring Flyers TT (Hudson Wisc.) on Saturday: https://bigringflyers.bravehost.com/tt2008.html
Then The Chris Kerr Memorial RR (Cameron, Wisc) on Sunday: https://www.wisport.org/info/ChrisKerr2008OCR.pdf

Full weekend of racing again next week then the season really slows down. Where did it go?

i'm not sure if the entrance on 12 is the only way in/out of there, but riding on rt 12 will suck. if you can drive out of there, we can meet up somewhere in wauconda or something and ride from there.

i can ride either sunday or monday morning as i have to work tomorrow morning...

Im not going to Village Pedaler in the AM. I went and pretended like I still had cartilage in my knees tonight and tried some tennis. Couldnt make a complete pedal rotation on the ride home. Maybe in the PM if I feel better but AM is a no go.

spent the weekend with racebrat and some other cyclists in Dodgeville, WI... camped at Governor Dodge State Park... we ran, we hiked, we rowed, and rode... . We fished (but caught nothing)... and then did the Wright Stuff Century on Sunday...

Next year we all need to get a campsite at this place for either the HHH or DD... it's a blast!! ... and a good place to bring all your kiddies
