9/1 Fox River Trail Informal Social Ride
I'm starting this to see if anyone is interested in getting together for a family style ride on the Fox River trail tomorrow. I will be hauling my 2.5 yr old son in a trailer.
Meant as a social style ride. 13-15mph type of pace is what I'm thinking. Just really seeing if anyone is interested. 8-10am in the morning start? Maybe stop at a park along the way to let kid(s) play??

I like the idea. What park you thinking? W. Dundee's South End Park has a playground. There's a wooden bridge from the main path across the river that goes right to the park.
Maybe start the ride at the Elgin library? That would eliminate the up/down hauling from the west side of town.
Just a thought.

We can start where-ever. The park I was thinking of is one at the top of "hill climb hill" in Algonquin(?) I'll locate it and map it. I am open to anything though.

OK...looks like it's just CyLowe and I (w/family). If you want to join in then post here tonight or tomorrow morning. Thinking about a 9:30-10:30 ish start time.
If no one posts then I'll call you CyLowe to set up stuff in the morning.
Anyone else who sees this late and has my number then just call me.

Oh... wait a sec. Yeah, 'the inquisitors.' They'd have been right at home breaking down religious heretics in Spain 600 years ago.
Left you a voice mail. I'll be on a bike a few sizes too small with double the cargo and six times the chatter, so your steep 13-15 mph average might take a hit waiting up for us.

Good ride! The inquisitors are sacked out after fun in the trailer and at the playground.
Lots of clueless people on the trail today. "Duuhhhrr.....Wha? I should look both ways before stepping mindlessly onto this here bicycling path? Duuhhhrr...."

i was on it yesterday as well. It seemed like everyone that had no idea about "how to be polite" was out in full force. Well that and there was this huge folk music festival that I passed.
I eventually just left the trail and rode up rt 25.
