Wheel upgrade recommendations please

Id like to upgrade these wheels, not worried about price, just performance.

Any good suggestions?

If price is no issue then a set of Zipps or Mavic Cosmic Carbone SSR's.

But in the real world...... Look for a used set of Mavic Ksyrium SSL's or something similar. They are light, stiff, and bombproof. They have been popping up on my local CL for between $300-$450 recently. They were $1200+ new.

I've had a few sets of Ksyriums on a several different bikes. They are much stiffer and spin up very fast.

If you're looking for a performance upgrade by replacing the wheels it's hard to go wrong with them.

When you say performance do you mean go fast or hold up going down rough dirt roads and through pot holes? If it's the later you want some strong 32 or 36 spoke rims. All my hybrids have 36 spoke rims.

So... I'm confused. You equate strength of the wheel to the number of spokes it has? Because I'm sorry to burst your bubble but that is completely and totally incorrect.

I don't think strength is a huge concern. I'm under 200 pounds and ride asphalt with it.

I've gotten decades of use out of 36 spoke wheels

I want more speed and responsiveness
aint gonna happen by, shopping, & sitting on your ass in front of a computer.

32 spoke 3 cross sew-ups or superlight expensive folding bead tires .

Or how about a Ducati ¿?

i didn't ask for training advice. I ride my road bike a lot and was just looking to spiff up my Hybrid, which s actually a pretty nice one especially for the year it was purchased.

still say 36 spoke 3 cross . hub & rim .. Whatever floats your boat.

Hand built locally or hands in the cubicles of QBP, then shipped to your LBS.
