So far I am liking it a lot, but haven't had a lot of time in the saddle yet. It is fast compared to my rockhopper that I was using for the road. I am still fiddling with the positioning a bit and may lower the handlebars and see if I prefer that.

No worries, my guess you just have to wake up 20 minutes earlier, and eat 2 extra weetbix for the needed energy to ride there.

Never heard of Vegemite either. I live part time back in my old hometown in South Georgia. They grow a lot of peanuts and make peanut butter. I probably have eaten more peanut butter sandwiches than any other kind of sandwich.

pffft I wish. Takes me about 10-12 minutes to ride to my old office building, whereas it will likely take me nearly 90 minutes to ride to my current office location.

Got me a new Brooks Flyer, new Sylvan Touring Pedals and a silver bell. I lowered & leveled my rack...been meaning to do that for a while. I swapped out the black springs on the saddle with the B67 thats on my Sawyer. I believe it looks a little better now & rides great!

Thanks! Hopefully I'm done with it. When I ordered it back in Dec I didn't quite like the looks of it. I immediately ordered the Metropolis bars and put on the B67 from my cruiser.

My friend's dad is Australian, and he [my friend] made me try vegemite once. It was terrible! I don't know how you can eat that stuff!

That is perfect. Everything works well together on your bike.

Funny you should mention that..we grow a lot of peanuts in Kingaroy in Australia, so peanuts are very much on my diet. Strangely, many people in Australia have severe allergies to peanuts. Here in Japan, it's unheard of.

Ahhh yes, the unexpecting American. We get a kick out of feeding Vegemite to you guys. The trick is that you must grow up on Vegemite from when you are a little kid. Trying it later in life rarely works. Try a LITTLE on a cracker with cheese, and it's bliss. I'm lucky they import it to Japan, so I eat it every morning.

Serious though , my pommie mate here told me that if you can't get Vegemite, mix some soy sauce with a little miso paste and thicken it with corn flower and you have a fairly decent Vegemite substitute. I have not tried this though so it could taste crap...

BTW, more hybrid bike pics please...On with the show.

Thanks! I like your bikes esp. that green Gary Fisher you built up.

As mentioned minimal only. Don't pile the stuff on. Like my pic here. Many Japanese love it with cheese. Chedder Cheese is ideal.
