I would not say that winter is my favourite riding season although it does have it's moments...

Fall here is wondrous and there is nothing like hitting the trails and hearing the crunch of leaves under the tyres and breathing in the crisp fall air.

It doesn't snow that much around here. I can see how riding in snow might get old after awhile. When it snows, they put down a lot of salt, cleaning all the crud from the bike is a pain.

After my first mile Wednesday, and sore muscles ---- LOL

Well, I went out for an hour this afternoon, and averaged a "whopping" (.) MPH....

That would be "upper case" for 9.0 ------- LOL

I did a whole 9.0 miles, and feel like I did 40! My bad knee feels worse than my ankle! (Thanks to the lower seat, so I can get on the darned bike)

We'll see what tonite and tomorrow bring, so I can decide to ride (or not) tomorrow.

It sure would be nice to see 15 or 20 !!!!!! Gosh, I missed it !!!!!!!

Both my legs are uncomfortable, but not sore - but --- I gotta get that seat back up it's inch soon.

Back out for a spin along the Fox River, today.

Whew, I'm gettin' better!

I did 20 miles this afternoon, in 1 hour and 45 minutes. A drastic improvement!

That's all the way up to 11.5 MPH for an average!

I really had to concentrate to keep my average up. Cadence has gone to heck, as it's tough to maintain 70 RPM.

If I'm doing so much better, ------ how come I feel so much worse????

A little cool out there today, but it sure is nice to be crankin again, and outside to boot!

I think I will crank up the riding mower, and grind up some leaves.......

Yeah! Finally i got my bike back. It had been in the LBS for two months waiting on a new rear wheel (SSR bontrager). Still angry with Trek tough, how can a company like that make a costumer wait for two months on a rear wheel? I called them after a month and asked for an upgrade if they could not deliver the original wheel. They refused. So i had to wait another month.

But it's on again.
Took my 7.5 for a 40 km ride today. I love it. The steering and gearing is perfect.

My hybrid survived yesterday's snow storm, and this morning cold weather. It took to and from school and work just fine.

I'm still cold though...

What he said. That's very unusual behavior on Trek's part. Did you ask them why?

My bike went into dry-dock, on a repair stand at the back of my office (we normally use it for a coat rack). Installing new brake cables and pads, and lubbing everything in sight. Should be done today.

idfunk, are you the guy that got his bike mangled by a lady in a car?

My cheap, low end hybrid is gonna take me around the seawall today, I will attempt to videotape my ride again, hopefully I can set the digicam to record continuously. Im gonna duct tape it to my rear rack for a different perspective.

I rode my Felt X City to Walgreens and Giant Eagle. Been sick with the flu for two weeks, so this was my first trip with the Avenir basket-style pannier, so I could go shopping with my bike. I really enjoyed it.

My heel hits the pannier sometimes, though. Not always, but sometimes, and it looks like it's as far back as it will go on this rack. I wonder if I need a longer rack?

@ qmsdc; Thanks!
@ Panthers; Thanks! Yes i did. No they didn't. Instead they told me to contact my lbs again.
@ Luditte; Yes i am.

I celebrated my 35th birthday with my girlfriend in another provence. We took our bikes on a train to the "Veluwe", which is a nature park situated in the east netherlands, and stayed there for two days. It was lovely.

Belated Happy birthday wishes!

Cool looking woodlands. The absence of underbrush emphasizes the contrasting shapes, textures and colors. Looks like a great place to play hide-n-seek. Spooky at night I'll bet.

She's riding a Trek t300 and loves it. It's a very complete bike amazingly well priced, great value.

I agree on her having the better looks. I love riding behind her when she's wearing her nice tight bikepants.

@ KShep: Thanks. The "veluwe" offers a lot. The scene on that photo would be great for a contemporary dance performance.

Haha, yeah. He's got the complete costume, from the team bike down to the gloves and water bottles! Not sure about the helmet or socks, but I have a feeling that's all authentic team gear.

It was a little rainy, Note the zip lock bag in his other hand.

Wonder how the deer get into College Park Airport! I thought the fence went all the way around.
If I hadn't been down with a cold this weekend, I was planning to ride Arlington to College Park on those same trails.
