Noob from the Sunshine State.....

Hello all,
greetings from Florida..... and Happy Turkey Day...... hope all are well and hope you all had a great day with your families..

I'm a 37 y/o teenager, been riding/racing in one form or the other off-road for my whole life.... be it dirt bikes or quads or jet ski's, it's always been a part of my life.... just recently (5 mos.) got into mountain biking and I'm loving it...... It' a great form of exercise with out being boring.....I get lost in the fact that I'm getting a great cardio workout with out watching the clock and really enjoying the challenge of the terrain and trying to push myself physically.......

Anyhoo, I searching for a "real" bike and I'd be happy to hear from others in florida and what they are riding...

My other addiction is music, I've been playing guitar and singing since I was 7, lots of gigs under my belt and several recordings...... Love love love it......

Take Care and God Bless

Joe

Hello Joe, you certainly have described the joy of mountain biking quite well . I have a nine mile loop near to me that I ride on a regular basis, and it sure is different than nine miles on a road bike .

I looked at your post in the MTB forum, and I would agree that if you think you are reasonably serious about keeping up with the mountain biking that you should invest the money in a better bike. You could try to see if you can pick something up from the local Craigslist, too.

But the Wal-Mart bike is going to get trashed pretty soon if you ride it hard at all--and it sounds as if you give your all when you're having fun .

What's this about music? Recordings? Got a link?

Welcome to BF and Happy Thanksgiving!

East Hill

I'm the bald guy with tattoo's....
also look for rockinrustykitchens he is a buddy of mine who I've play'd lots of gigs with and did a country cd with this past year..... give them a listen.

Can't listen at the moment (the computer I'm using doesn't have speakers hooked up), but I did take a look at your fccpraise page .

There's usually a thread down there in Foo for tats, by the way, and the Foosters are always happy to see more examples .

(Did I mention that I am a female? )

Glad to hear you are a female....... I like them...

Hope to hear from ya
