Welcome aboard, Kieth. I'm just on the other side of the fence from you. I don't believe there is a forum for trainers and excercise bikes, but it sounds like the training & nutrition forum or the road cycling forum would be appropriate places to post.

Welcome to the forum. What are your impressions of the TDF stationary bike? I see the commercials and am intrigued.Do you ride a real bike outside at all? I realize you are in Dallas and that the Texas heat can be monstrous. I have a cousin who lives in Dallas and is involved in cycling. He trains at Cycling Center Dallas in addition to riding outside on the roads. He has been my inspiration. He did his first century last year as part of the Lonestar ride to benefit AIDS charities.

Ive had it a month or so and its great when its working.....I cant say it hasnt had its issues.....made a squeaking noise that was due to some loose screws on front hub upon arrival.....Then "I" stripped out some threads on the crank getting it off and on..... was going good till last night.....the IFIT would download 90 percent of the program i was to ride....then stall......had to due a manual work out......I really dont ride much outside.....Just not into navigating the streets and sidewalks......this seemed safer and also has a race option you can participate in......Apparently im just really slow....but it is fun to watch on a tablet how you are doing or the terrain.. It uses pictures from google maps as you ride...
