Another new old guy
Greetings all bike lovers - Another lurker at the threshold, daring to set foot into this lively forum . After surviving a major heart attack last September, I've re-discovered the joys and health benefits of bicycling. My cardiologist recommended that I get more exercise so I bought a nice Specialized Sirrus Sport Disc to get me off the couch and out of the house. It's working. I've worked my way up to 20 miles per ride and looking for more.
Being an old guy with a heart condition you'll probably find me most often in the Over 50 club.

Hey SpinThrift,
Welcome to Bike Forums from a Texas road rider.
Look around and have fun posting in any forum.
One thing bike riding does is make one feel young again.

Thanks for the welcome 10 Wheels. Texas seems far, far away from my Puget Sound home. At age 63 and having had a nasty heart attack, I feel fortunate to be able to ride and enjoy my happy wanderings. Appreciate the welcome. Come on up to Whidbey Island and take a ride in the Pacific Northwest.

WOW! Mr. 10 Wheels - Most impressive and I'm sure quite the adventure. I'm building up to longer rides - 10 miles to Coupeville is my limit right now.

Greenville South Carolina is where George Hincapie retired and started Hotel Domestique and his clothing business. He hosts the Hinapie Gran Fondo. The Assault on Mount Mitchell starts at the county next door.
