Thanks everyone for the encouraging words.
As for the number of races, some of those were Tuesday night circuit races which are now full-fledged, points eligible, USAC races. Also, if you lived in SoCal too, it would be easy for you to do as many or more races.
Regardless of how good or bad your 2014 was, here's to hoping that 2015 is better.

In a good year I average around 45 races, most of that from racing twice a day as I only race 1 day per weekend. Cleave has done 3 races a day often. That's incomprehensible to me but who knows, maybe he will motivate me to try it.

Since I started racing I've averaged 55 a year. Highest was 75 in 2011. I started keeping a spreadsheet years ago with the races and finishes, and a historical total from year to year. 11 year total:

I went back and counted...there's also 74 DNF's in there. I always chuckle when I read some newbie stating with great verve that they will never quit a race. A few of those were flats and crashes but I quit with great style.
