Ordered a new wheel set
So after looking around the net for some Mavic EX 729 rims, I found a few spots that carried them, my intention was to lace them up to my Shimano M495 disc hubs, but shipping was going to be over $50USD, and I still needed to get spokes, and make sure that they were the right length, which can be a ***** in trial and error, so it looked like it was going to cost me $300 USD to lace the rims up to my already used hubs. So down to the LBS, to talk to my riding buddy, and LBS owner to see what kind of prices he could come up with, he looked through his books, and it worked out that his distributor wouldn't send just the rims, I could send in my hubs and they could lace them up, but then I'm without a wheel set for like a week or maybe two, and I still had a set of WTB speed disc rims that I'll never be able to get rid of. The distributor did sell the Mavic 729's pre assembled to a few different hubs, so he priced out a set of Shimano Deore XT Hubs, laced up to the Mavic EX 729 Rims, pre assembled and ready to go, for $400 CND taxes in installed on my bike. So I called another riding buddy who was looking to buy a set of disc hubs for his Jamis, and sold my WTB speed disc rims, and M495 disc hubs to him for $150 CND. SO the long and short of it is I will have a new wheel set :Shimano Deore XT Hubs, laced up to the Mavic EX 729 Rims for $250 CND. I'm super pumped, and now I will have a nice strong wheel set

Ya I can't wait to get them, and I was pumped that I could sell my old wheel set, it actually cost me less to sell my old wheel set, get better hubs, and have the complete wheel set sent out, than it would to get the 729's laced up to my M495 hubs. $315 with my old hubs, and $400 less the $150 for my old wheel set, so $250 for a whole new wheel set hubs and all. I'm loving my LBS dealer right now.
