1. John Tomac
2. Rishi Greywal 3. Greg Herbold 4. Brian Lopes 5. Ned Overend 6. John Stamstad |
UH Without offending you......yes. Which rider are you referring to?
|
Well the best thing I can say is do a www. search on them. There is plenty of info on Stamstad at the Airborne web site. Tomac, Herbold, and Lopes should be easy to do it would get very long in explanation here.

Hunter...
Aren't you being a bit Biased towards American Bikers??? I'd say yes to both Tomac and Overend...but what about Thomas Frishnect, or Miguel Martinez, or Cadel Evans, or Steve Peat....??? We're in a Global Community my man!!!! Rich  |
What about the Queen of XC, Margarita Fullana and the Queen of Downhill, Anne-Caroline Chausson!!!

I am sorry if this offends it was not intended to. Also considering the diversity of the above riders IMHO I would say they have an edge. You are correct I should have considered Thomas. |
Bad Hunter, bad Hunter...
Now don't do it again!!!! :fight: hehe...you're right though, Tomac was/is the best ever!!! :) Rich |
I think Ill have to say.. ME Im the best mountain biker. ;)
|
Me neither!
I am definitely NOT king of the mountain! Perhaps king of the potholes! :D |
it must be B R I A N L O P E S !!!!
the other guys are really important in the bike history and they've done a lot for the sport, but LOPES is the best rider !!!!! sorry for my bad english !! bye, pagey |
I'm going to say, "I'm the King of crashing", but my overall vote is Tomac, he ruled road, xc, downhill, slalom, don't forget BMX and he sometimes did 2 or 3 disciplines in the same day. Road race in the morning, a small snack, perhaps a XC race, then lunch, and then Downhill in the afternoon. He ruled, he was always smiling and was and is a great representative of our sport.

Peat is nowhere near Tomac or Overend ...... Peaty is veeeeery new to the scene in comparison with stuff of legends plus he is highly overrated here in the UK. I would also suggest Nicolas Vouilloz Best DHer of all time.

Jesus...this is ridiculus. Theis thread is 2 years old. Romeo I am glad to see you posting but don't post in threads older than sin
|

Cedric Gracia!
|
Okay, somebody start a two-year old thread about the Queen... and make sure there're choices for Chausson and FURTADO...oops, did I capitalize that?
|
Mael... i think we sould be able to post in any thread we want. If you dont like the fact that it's 2 years old, dont post on it.

I agree with you. Overall I would have to say hans is at the very least one of the top two or three 'overall' riders ever. Amazing rider. |
Lopes, when he is healthy.
