Would you upgrade or buy new?
Im looking into buying a Specialized Rockhopper Disc.
Would you buy an older model with the A1 frame (~04, 05) for around $300 and upgrade the parts?
Or would you fork out the cash now for a brand new 08 for around $650? Looks like the 08s now have the m4 frame, but aside from that the components look pretty mediocre.
Any input?

The frame and new components probably make buying fresh the better bet.
LX, deore & juicy 3's aren't very mediocre.
Certainly better value than buying old & upgrading a bike with 2-3 years wear. The old spec seems mediocre in comparison.
