how much am I missing?
Im a roadie with a couple high end road bikes but do have a Giant Warp. I know its low end and heavy; I have a blast on it, its like a tank compaired to my 17lb road bike. Just wondered what all Im missing out on by using a bike like this.

Well you lost out on the technical skills you would have gained by not buying a similarly priced but better equipped hardtail. (Hardtails always trump FS rigs in terms of componentry and proper technique learned by the rider) But if your having fun screw it.

The only thing you're missing out on is less weight. Due to a lighter wallet.
As long as you're having fun it really doesn't matter what you ride.
I remember having just as much fun on my first GT Karakorum as I have with my Intense. (My forks on my current bike cost as much as my first complete bike!)

As long has ur enjoying the sport, and learning alot then your fine, Its not about what your missing out on, its about what you have, that bike will be fine to learn on plus it will be interesting to find out how much ur riding style changes if and when u get a lighter and better equipped mountain bike

geez man, no doubt!! i first began biking on a trek 4300 and bought a fuel 4(?) months later. i rode a hardtail this weekend for the first time since...i suck.
