Anyone know about these forks?
Hello all, These are in my (measly) budget for forks. Does anyone know if they have any type of damping? If so what type of damping. By the time they get to Australia they'll owe me about $175US/$230AU

Save your money. That's all I'm going to say. If you were to buy that thing you would have an undamped boat anchor on the front of your bike. What's with the Dual Crown obsession anyway? There are dozens of better single crown damped 100mm forks out there

Mate, you can probably do better than that price and quality wise on ebay. Get a Paypal account if you don't already have one, and see if you can locate a seller willing to ship here. If they don't offer shipping to Australia, I send them an email and ask if they'll ship to me here. Doesn't hurt to ask, and so far most people have been pretty cool about it. Our prices suck, but I've gotten brand new forks, taken off '04 bikes for as little as US$40. Good luck.

Indeedidoo . I'm all set up for ebay and these are in fact from there. But the consensus seems to be that these are complete crapola and with that and your good fortune re forks in mind I'll give up on these and keep looking.
Cheers

XC, I'm 240 and falling steadily and these forks are at the limit of my budget. I have a sheet of Marzocchi data and types but the rest of the brands are a mystery. There are so many models that I dont really know what fork I'm looking at outside of Marzocchi which I mostly cant afford.

I would rather have your Single crown RST if your using it for XC..
I know it sounds harsh, but If you want a new fork that much, and are willing to buy this fork, which will comprimise your whole bike IMO, your much better saving up for an MX Comp or something along those lines..

You can make a short stack Dc. My slider 170mm is only slightly taller than my z150 All depends on how the fork is made.

Still kicking.
I'd search online sites and look for a decent used 4-5" SC fork.

I don't think Marzocchi makes a bad fork. We're looking for a DJ with the QR20 for our tandem. If you let me know exactly what you're looking for, I can check with some contacts in the states. I may also be able to help with getting it shipped here, if the seller won't ship direct, as I have a US address as well.

Problem solved! I got these for $US 81 , by the time their in my hands they should owe me about $185 AU.
A bargain given fork prices here. Thanks for all the advice and good suggestions. Expatriate, many thanks for the offer but it's all happening. BTW there are a few DJII's around at the moment.

Look for the old Marzocchi DCs with 150mm travel. Those are great forks and can be found for cheap.
