Selle Italia Flite XC Saddle -non Gel - Anyone have one & likes dislikes
For anyone who may have a 2010 or newer Selle Italia Flite XC Saddle - The non Gel version :
Do you like or dislike? I can't find any reviews.
Looking at one since cheaper than a Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow Flite. It'll be going on a '05 Marin Mill Valley. Be using for training, winter bike and dirt road around a lake. I have a Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow which was on the Marin but moved to my Raleigh Rush Hour.
I cant afford another Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow or the gel version of the XC so please only comments on the Selle Italia Flite XC Saddle non gel.
Thanks

After trying and hating a gel saddle way back in the day, I've stayed away from them. Ditto with SI Flow saddles with the center cut out. That leaves the tried and tru Flite XC that I've used since I started biking. I have a couple of older style Flite XCs which have served me well on three bikes and have the newer version on my FS Stumpy. Similar saddle design and dimensions as the original so it is oh-so-comfy.
I was hesitant at first when I bolted the new saddle on the bike as the shape was similar but with some tweaks. After a couple of rides I barely noticed the saddle - a good thing. I would buy another for a new bike or for a replacement if you like the older classic Flite XC saddle, which by the way you can still buy new. They call it the Flite classic or vintage.
