Well I was going to add some form of color, and blue seemed to work. the blue is a different shade than it looks. They're actually a much deeper blue than what they look like, I tired taking several pix, and you just can't do it while using a flash 
Anyways I'm about to commute to my job so I will see how they ride on the way there! Anyone got a set of cleats they wanna sell that fit these?

They didn't come with a set of cleats? Did you get them off ebay or from a retailer?
I have eggbeater cleats (same retension mech. as the mallets and all Crank Bros. pedals), but sorry, they're not for sale, they're in use. Let us know what you think, I've been thinking about getting a pair of mallets or candys for my MTB.

i have some. THey take the regular crank brothers cleats dont they? Yea i have some of those, hardly used, i opnly used them for a week until i got road cleats for my shoe so yea.

OK so I got my commute on this morning and then this afternoon and I am impressed. The engagement and disengagement are so much smoother and feel like you're sliding out of them like you SHOULD yet on the backside of my stroke my foot is held on quite well. I hopped off this one curb when my shimanos liked to let my foot pop out on and the mallets held my feet well. The only thing I dislike about the mallets or I guess I should say the cleats is that they do not have any adjustability. The cleat is super wide and MUST be placed in the center of the shoe. The shimano cleats had some movement which I liked, but the mallets seem to fit well where they are...maybe the cleats don't need any adjustment?

yea thats one down about CB stuff is theres no adjustement. I have no issue with it, just put the cleat with two circles on the right and your set.

I know when i first got my Candy SL's, i did not read the part where it said you have the option of 15 or 20. So i put it on 20. Im thinking that caused a few extra scars

as you can see the shimano cleat is moved to one side, as with the crank bro cleat...it can't be.

I never saw it as a problem, maybe it has to do with my shoes. It hurts to think about having my feed being able to move side to side. I like them square on the pedal

Yeah. The Eggbeaters side to side float should compensate for the difference. It may take some getting used to. But you will be happy with the switch.

ugh I remember my shimanos clogged up and I had to bust out my knife and scrape off some to clip in.
