NYC Need Route Help
Hello everyone,
I got out on St Patricks day for the first time this season for a ride in Central Park, and I'm wondering if there is a faster/more efficient way to get there from my new apartment on 25th and 2nd. The route I used was: 25th to 3rd ave, up to 27th, over to 6th ave and straight up to the park. I used to live on 110th and broadway where the park was a quick ride down the hill, and having to fight to get to the park now isn't much fun...any route recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

The few (2x) times I rode 6th Ave in Midtown to the park I hated it. It's like a traffic free for all, and I only had to ride 9 blocks from 50th to the park. Have you tried riding straight up 1st and cutting across 72nd into the park?

I actually live on 27th and 2nd. I take 3rd ave most of the way up and use 55th street to cross over to 6th ave. If i'm on the right, I take the bus lane. If I'm on the left side of the avenue, I usually take my own lane.
