Just sold my road bike
Now what? I need help purchasing a new one. I live in the South Bay and need recommendations for a LBS where I can find a new road bike. Has anyone come across a good deal recently. I would prefer Shimano 105 and need a 50 or 52 cm frame. I've checked the used boards and there is nothing out there. I'm in my fifties so I don't need something to race just something to ride casually 3 or 4 times a week. Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't considered selling my other Cannondale ... it's about the same size, but I have been neglecting it. Haven't ridden it in 3 or 4 years, ever since I got my Seven. Has Campy Athena components, which is probably between Shimano 105 and Ultegra. Not sure how much I would sell it for, or even if I want to sell it.

You might want to just post a question over along the lines of
Looking for good used road bike in Bay Area...(as header)
(body of post) and would like Shimano 105 if possible, 50-52cm frame. (give your price range). I would not be surprised if someone can't help you out, and you'd also get to meet a fellow member .

I'd recommend going to bikespring in Mountain View (https://bikespring.com/index.cfm). They are Specialized concept store.
If you are looking for Trek, check out Trek Store in San Jose (https://www.stbikes.com/).
Both stores are great and have very knowledgeable people.

Thanks to all. I went down to Bikespring and they had a '06 Roubaix Elite triple that fit me perfect. It was discounted and they convinced me that it was a great deal so I bought it. It feels great so I look forward to getting on a good ride tomorrow evening.

7rider that's exactly why I sold my old one and replaced it. I enjoy Old La Honda,Highway 9,Montebello Rd etc. so I'm looking forward to the triple for those.

btw, BikeSpring organizes couple of rides during a week.
The first one is every Wednesday from 8:30 am to about 10:30 am (sometimes it goes to about 11:00 am). Not very convenient, since this is mid-week, but if you can go -- this is great and fast ride.
Another one is on Saturday, same time. For the last few weeks Steve (general manager of the store) and me were joining "Spectrum" ride after a 40-minute warm-up on our own. But I believe Steve can change it if there's a bigger group.
There's also a MTB ride, but I don't do MTB much, so I don't have any details about it.
All rides start from the store.
